What To Expect
Did you know that the Teide Observatory discovered that the Sun has its own frequency and it beats, like a heart, every five minutes?

Tenerife is much more than just sun and beaches, it is also volcanoes and science. Enjoy a pleasant scientific experience with our guided visit to the Teide Observatory.
We are fortunate to have the largest solar observatory in the world! It started operating in 1964 and devotes its scientific activity to the observation of the solar system and robotic astronomy. Also, it has at its disposal a large number of solar and night telescopes, owned by different European countries.

With a duration of 90 minutes, you will receive information on the importance of the firmament, you will get to know the work of researchers, participate in an astrophysics workshop and observe sun spots and flares through solar telescopes. Also, you will visit the interior of a nocturnal telescope of which you will come out knowing its operation. Great. isn't it?
